He is the owner of ECOnnect Design, LLC, a landscape architectural firm based in Poulsbo, WA.  Jim understands the importance of creating spaces that reflect the unique aesthetics, values, and lifestyle needs of his clients and respond to the natural environment. He is passionate about crafting inviting spaces that inspire connection and tranquility and emphasize ecological and sustainable principles inspired by the beautiful native ecoregions of the Puget Sound. His focus is on design that entices his clients to spend time outdoors connecting with nature as an important source of healing and discovery.

Jim spends most of his free time exploring the stunning backcountry of the Pacific Northwest with his son, combining his passions for hiking, backpacking, and capturing breathtaking images of nature. Of course, all this exploring also provides inspiration for his designs.
